 OUR HISTORY

Plymouth Basketball Club has existed in various forms since 2000. The club was founded as Tamar Valley Cannons, named after the nearby River Tamar and its valley. In 2007, the club changed its name to Plymouth Marjon Cannons after moving to the College of St Mark & St John and becoming a part of its "Hub Club". In 2014 the club adopted the Plymouth Raiders brand until the BBL clubs sudden closure in 2021. The club has a proud history of working with partners within the city and now prides itself on flying the flag for the city in national and regional competitions as Plymouth Basketball Club
