veolia joins the pbc family
Plymouth Basketball Club is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Veolia, who will sponsor the club for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The agreement will see Veolia’s branding featured on the playing kit of PBC’s Under-16 National League squad, as well as on a brand-new coaching uniform issued to all coaches for use on matchdays.
This partnership marks a significant step forward for the club as it continues to expand its presence in the local sporting community. For the players and coaches alike, the visibility of Veolia’s support will not only bring a refreshed look to the court but also underline the importance of strong community and corporate partnerships in grassroots sport.
Veolia is a global leader in resource management, providing sustainable solutions in waste, water, and energy to help communities and businesses reduce their environmental impact. The company has a proud history of working closely with local communities, and supporting grassroots sport is a natural extension of its culture of responsibility, teamwork, and long-term investment in people.
Phil Hughes, Vice-Chairman of Plymouth Basketball Club, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Veolia to the PBC family. Their support will make a real difference to our young athletes and coaches, giving them a sense of pride every time they step onto the court. Grassroots basketball is about opportunity, growth, and belonging, and having a company like Veolia backing us shows the strength of our community connections. We are excited to carry their name on our playing kit this season and to continue building something special for our players and families.”
Chris Lynn, Head of Commercial Operations at Veolia South, added:
“We are thrilled to support Plymouth Basketball Club through this new partnership. This is a great example of how businesses can invest in the local areas they work in and support opportunities for communities to come together. We are proud to be involved in this initiative to strengthen community connections and wish PBC all the best for the season!”
Plymouth Basketball Club continues to provide opportunities for young people aged 4–18 to develop their skills, compete at a national level, and enjoy the lifelong benefits of sport. With Veolia’s support, the club looks forward to another successful season, both on and off the court. News of additional exciting partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks.
